A light logistics offering tailored to decarbonization projects
Teréga Solutions is developing a range of services designed to support CO₂ producers and consumers in implementing their decarbonization projects. As part of this effort, the company draws on MODAL GROUP’s expertise in intermodal transport to assess the technical and economic feasibility of non-pipeline CO₂ transport solutions and their integration into a complete logistics chain.
The goal is to design, for each project, the most suitable logistics chain based on volumes, site location, available infrastructure, and the intended destination of the CO₂ (storage or utilization). This approach factors in, from the earliest project stages, infrastructure needs, operational and regulatory constraints, and the economic parameters associated with CO₂ transport.

Complementary expertise for a complete logistics chain
The two partners intend to combine their expertise to build techno-economic responses suited to the needs of project developers, from analyzing the characteristics of the CO₂ and the volumes to be transported through to defining the logistics chain, the necessary equipment, and the associated transport cost.
The studies can thus cover all the components needed to implement a non-pipeline transport solution: liquefied CO₂ storage, loading and unloading equipment, flow organization, choice of transport mode(s), and sizing of the necessary infrastructure.

A strengthened partnership across Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie
This enhanced collaboration also takes the form of a reciprocal exclusivity arrangement for feasibility studies on CO₂ transport and conditioning within this light logistics activity, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie regions.
Through this partnership, Teréga Solutions and MODAL GROUP aim to facilitate the emergence of CO₂ logistics chains suited to industrial and regional realities, and to offer project developers a complementary or transitional solution to pipeline transport.
